Choose the right license for your project. Below you will find explanations of each license type and usage option available on our platform.
A Royalty Free license allows you to use the image multiple times across various projects after a one-time payment. There are no additional fees per use. RF licenses are ideal for businesses that need flexible, ongoing use of an image across websites, social media, brochures, and presentations. The license is non-exclusive, meaning other buyers may also license the same image.
A Rights Managed license grants specific, defined usage rights for a particular purpose. The price is calculated based on factors such as usage channel, region, duration, and image size. RM licenses offer greater control over how and where an image is used, making them suitable for campaigns where precise usage tracking is important. Each new use requires a separate license.
An Exclusive license grants you sole usage rights for the image. During the exclusivity period, no other buyer can license the same image. This is the premium option for brands and agencies that require unique visual content not available to competitors. Exclusive licenses are priced higher to compensate the creator for foregoing other licensing opportunities.
When configuring a Rights Managed license, you select the channels where the image will be used. Common channels include: Web (websites, blogs, online ads), Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), Print (magazines, brochures, posters), and Editorial (news articles, documentaries). Each channel may affect the license price. Make sure to select all channels where you plan to use the image.
Image licenses can be limited to specific geographic regions. Options typically include: single country, European Union, North America, or worldwide. A regional license restricts usage to the selected territory, while a worldwide license allows use in any country. Regional licenses are more affordable and suitable for locally targeted campaigns.
Licenses can be granted for a fixed period (e.g., 1 year, 3 years) or in perpetuity. A time-limited license requires renewal after expiration if you wish to continue using the image. Perpetual licenses grant indefinite usage rights. Our platform tracks license expiration dates and sends renewal reminders before a license expires, so you never lose access unexpectedly.
